David studied Nutrition at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health, while completing his Master of Science in Kinesiology. He utilizes current scientific research to create realistic, effective meal plans and strategies to ensure long-term commitment and success.
David's note to you:
"My goal is to help you understand your body’s physiology, to set attainable goals and achieve your desired results. Weight loss and weight gain are much more complex than simply “calories in, vs. calories out.” Nutrition must be tailored to the individual (you!), and rather than utilizing restrictive diets that are often ineffective and can lead to binging, we will make reasonable adjustments to improve your current eating habits. Nutrition is incredibly impactful on all facets of life, and simple changes can drastically improve brain function, energy levels, physical performance, immune system functioning, fat breakdown and mobilization, muscle protein synthesis, and greatly affect long-term health outcomes, all while improving physical appearance."
A Michigan native, Angela attended the College for Creative Studies in Detroit where she studied Art Direction. During that time, she started teaching in the health and fitness space and eventually opened a small studio offering personal training and small group classes. Always striving to push herself, she finished Ironman 140.6 triathlons in Louisville and Madison and recently placed top 5 in four NPC Western Michigan figure competition categories. She brings to her clients the same SMART goal setting and strategies for exercise programs and nutritious meal preparation that she includes in her daily routine and feels that the combination of both can help improve energy, body composition, and achievement of personal health and performance goals.
